Smartphones with curved displays are here. A day after LG confirmed that they are working on a curved OLED display for smartphones, Samsung has officially announced Galaxy Round which is available exclusively for SK Telecom in South Korea. Samsung Galaxy Round has a 5.7-inch Full HD screen, very similar to what we saw in Galaxy Note 3, but with a curved OLED display. The immediate upsides for having a curved display on a smartphone is not known, but Samsung is promising lots of software tweaks to make use of the non-flat back of Galaxy Round....

HTC has partnered with Google and is also offering 50 GB of Google Drive storage for free for 2 years (as if Google Drive storage prices weren’t cheap already). HTC’s new flagship smartphone comes with a RAM of 2 GB DDR and a 2600 mAh battery which should ensure a talk time of up to 20 hours for 3G....

Microsoft was kind enough to make file search fast and easily accessible in Windows 7 and now 8/8.1. This capability is granted by the indexing service which constantly scans files and keeps them ready for a user enquiry. With that being said, Windows 8 is somewhat different when it comes to fast file search, as the familiar Start Menu hasn’t made the cut from Windows 7 and so the very useful search bar is now a charm which to be honest, doesn’t do justice to its predecessor....

According to the developers, duration of the video is limited to 15 seconds in order to allow users to quickly capture important moments and share them easily, and also ensure fast downloading by those who want to view them. Outglassed does not mean outclassed There are some who have pointed out that the Z1 Pro’s plastic back makes it inferior to the Glass one of the Note 7 Pro, which appears more premium. Well, not in our books. For us, the Z1 Pro is definitely a more striking device visually than the Redmi Note 7. Both phones have gradient finish backs (although our black model of the Note 7 Pro is the only one in the series which does not – strange are the ways of review units), but we just felt that the Z1 Pro was far more striking while the Note 7 Pro was too understated....

Thankfully, the iPhone hacker Will Strafach has successfully developed his new tweak to enable HDR photos on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G! I guess, I don’t need to mention that you would require a jailbroken iPhone 3GS/3G on iOS 4.1 in order to get this tweak to work. The minute and half long ad from Google, “Loretta”, is all about an elderly man missing his late wife and while the basic storyline in itself is a real tear-jerker, the way in which Google has framed the ad really hit us right in the feels. The ad starts with a Google Search saying, “how to not forget”, then a shaky, elderly voice asks Google, “show me photos of me and Loretta” at which Google picks out a couple of pictures of a beautiful senior couple....
