And, in much the same way as the Mi 10 competes head-to-head with the latest Samsung S20, its Pro variant, the Mi 10 Pro, also rises up to compete with the Samsung’ counterpart, the S20 Plus. So, let’s jump in and look at a comparison between the two devices.

Design and Display

When it comes to design, the S20 Plus and the Mi 10 Pro both feature an all-glass design with a glass back. However, the one on the Mi 10 Pro is slightly curved to give it an ergonomic feel in hand. Moving to the front is where the most similarities end and the two share some noticeable differences.

Performance

In terms of performance, both the S20 Plus and the Mi 10 Pro showcase high-end specs on paper and promise to provide an overall impressive experience. The Galaxy S20 Plus comes with either a Snapdragon 865 (or an Exynos 990) processor, which is an octa-core processor that comes with an Adreno 650 GPU and an X55 modem. It offers 8GB / 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB / 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage (expandable up to 1TB with microSD card). The device includes a 4500mAh battery with 25W fast charging, along with wireless charging and reverse power-sharing support. Talking about the other device, the Mi 10 Pro, similar to the S20 Plus, also relies on the latest Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, which comes with Adreno 650 GPU and X55 modem. It includes 8GB / 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB / 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage (no expandable storage). Further, there is a 4500mAh battery, same as the S20 Plus, with a slightly faster 30W fast charging, in addition to wireless charging and 10W reverse power-sharing. On the software front, the Galaxy S20 Plus runs on Android 10 with Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 on top, whereas, the Mi 10 Pro comes with MIUI 11 based on Android 10, out of the box.

Camera

For optics, the S20 Plus and the Mi 10 Pro, come with a multi-camera setup on the rear with an LED flash. The Galaxy S20 Plus comes with a triple-camera setup, which includes a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 64MP telephoto sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a ToF sensor. On the other hand, the quad-camera setup on the Mi 10 Pro includes a 108MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 20MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 12MP portrait sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor.

Towards the front, the Galaxy S20 Plus sports a 10MP front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture, while the Mi 10 Pro comes equipped with a 20MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The front-facing camera on both the devices comes housed in a hole-punch cutout on the front.

Miscellaneous

The Galaxy S20 Plus and the Mi 10 Pro come with 5G connectivity and offer support for SA/NSA dual-mode 5G and dual 4G VoLTE. Both these devices come with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and USB Type-C.
